Florence Eleanor (Olson) Turnbough was born in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, US to Julius E. Olson and Eldora (Cowles) Olson.

Eleanor immigrated to the Sturgeon Valley area in 1913 when her family moved from Spokane, Washington.  Attending Prince Albert Collegiate and Saskatoon Teacher's College, she instructed in one room schools before and after her marriage to Arguel Lee Turnbough2 with whom she had two daughters.3

Tombstone Tuesday: MYERS, Otto

Otto Myers was born about 18832 or 18843 in Germany. Otto immigrated to Canada in 1910 and nationalized in 1914.3 A bachelor throughout his life, he was found dead by a neighbour in 1923 and was buried about a mile from his little log home on NW 13-50-2 W3 in Wild Rose North Cemetery.4
